CBN – The Medical Uses and Health Benefits of CBN (Cannabinol) in Medical Marijuana

Cannabinol, CBN, is created when THC is exposed to oxygen or light. It provides some unique medical benefits and also shows that cannabis is able to keep its medical properties even when improperly stored. Some strains are cultivated with CBN, but all strains that contain THC are able to produce CBN over time. CBN does produce “high” effects but they are considered dull. It is able to increase the psychoactive effects of THC and has some other established synergies with cannabinoids. CBN is a pain reliever, anti-inflammatory, anti-epileptic, bone stimulant, anti-depressant, and more.
